What is the Sprout project ?
Last updated
Sprout originates as a fork from Sprig, which laid the foundation for this project. Initially, Sprout was created to update dependencies and introduce new functions.
After observing two years of inactivity on the main repository, we decided to take a proactive approach. Sprout has evolved from Sprig with the goal of being more responsive to dependency updates and the delivery of new functionalities.
Our aim is to foster a dynamic and collaborative development environment, welcoming contributions and suggestions to enhance our project.
In the heart of spring, a tiny seed in the soil awakened. With each passing day, it stretched towards the sun, a whisper of green emerging from the earth. As spring's embrace warmed the ground, the seed shed its shell, eager to greet the world. In a burst of determination and growth, what was once a humble seedling proudly stood as a sprout, ready for the journey ahead.
For a detailed explanation of the changes between Sprig and Sprout, see SPRIG_TO_SPROUT_CHANGES_NOTES.md. This document will help contributors and maintainers understand the modifications made between the fork date and version 1.0.0 of the Sprout library. This file will be moved here soon with better formatting.

We owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to the original authors and contributors of Sprig. Their pioneering work laid the groundwork for what Sprout has become today. It's their vision, dedication, and innovative spirit that inspired us to not only continue their legacy but also to expand upon it.
To every individual who has contributed to Sprig, whether through code, documentation, or community support, we extend our heartfelt thanks. Your contributions have been invaluable, and Sprout’s evolution is a testament to the solid foundation you've built. We're honored to build on this legacy and are excited about the future we can create together.
A big shoutout to the original author(s) and every single contributor for paving the way. We are committed to maintaining the spirit of open collaboration and innovation that you've instilled in this project. Here’s to continued success and to sharing the love and respect for the open-source community that drives us forward.
Thank you for inspiring us and countless others in this journey.
